We along with volunteer students of IIM Ranchi and a sister NGO GRAM Association went to a remote village near Ranchi, Jharkhand and celebrated the day with the women folk of the village, who came out in their bright traditional attires for the day. The women participated in tree plantation, clean up the village and save water campaigns during the day. It was very interesting moment when we organised a tug-of war between the two teams of local women. The fervour and the spirit to perform and win was so much evident amongst the two teams. DEEKSHA also distributed certain essential items amongst the villagers. Villagers honoured all for the effort.
